Muktangan Exploratory - Field Trip
Muktangan Exploratory Science Centre is working in the field of innovative science education for the last 20 years. They teach the concepts in Science and Mathematics through activities. Several students have been benefitted by this conceptual learning method.
As a mark to celebrate 20th year of establishment of Exploratory, a new program- “A day with Exploratory” was launched. This program was aimed at creating excitement among students about science, to develop scientific abilities and also to nurture their creative abilities.
Our School had organized a field trip on 14th September, 2012 between 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Students from STD V, VI and VII attended the workshop. Mrs. Rajarajeshwari and Mrs. Nupur Makkar accompanied the students. The students worked in small groups of four under the keen supervision of the expert teachers from the Exploratory Centre.
They demonstrated the steps to make eco-friendly Ganesha Idol and also explained about the special clay i.e ‘Shadoo’ which is used to make the idols. The students also made ‘Balancing Joy and Kaleidoscope’. They learned the scientific principle behind it and took the prepared models along with them.
This hands on experience boosts the student’s confidence in learning science through practical. They enjoyed this trip thoroughly.
