Children’s Day Celebrations
Children are God’s greatest gift to mankind. A happy and smiling child does more wonders to our heart and soul, than all the material pleasures of the world. But, to keep them smiling and happy, they need to be cherished; they must be shown the love we feel for them. And what better way to do this than on Children’s Day?
Children’s Day was celebrated in VPMS, Lohegaon on 19th November. The celebrations began with the breakfast itself, when the children were served Swiss rolls and pineapple pastries.
We had a special assembly, wherein the teachers conducted the assembly. The assembly began with the thought for the day followed by the news and a mimicry act was presented by Mrs Lalitha Iyer. A group song in English and Hindi was also sung by the teachers. Two dances were performed. One by the pre-primary teachers and the other by the primary and secondary teachers. Pledge was also administered by the teachers. The programme was very entertaining. The students thoroughly enjoyed it and appreciated the teachers’ versatile efforts.
