DIWALI – SPECIAL ASSEMBLY

Diwali, the festival of lights that enlightens the hearts and brings joy to everyone was

celebrated online this year through a special assembly presented by the students of Std. VI.

The assembly began with a warm welcome, the thought for the day and warm wishes for one

and all. A poem was recited to express excitement and happiness towards Diwali celebrations.

2 speeches were presented on the importance of this festival of lights in our lives. Different

states of India have different reason and ways of celebrating Dipawali and these were

highlighted. To add more joy to the celebration, a melodious song was sung by the students.

To spread the message of pollution free Diwali, children took a pledge to celebrate an eco-

friendly Diwali. Thereafter, the students showcased the spirit of Diwali through mesmerizing

dance performances. The special day assembly culminated by proposing of vote of thanks and singing the National Anthem.
