KMM – Value Education Session 1- 11 th July, 2020
On 11 th July, 2020, from 8.00 am to 9.00 am, the first session of ‘Keep Moving Movement’ (KMM) on self motivation was conducted for the students of grade X. This was arranged to motivate the students and help them to get relief from the stress they undergo as the students of grade X dealing with many pressures like academic stress, peer stress, stress to excel in life etc. Some of them also have certain negativities cropping up in their life.
KMM believes that students are the creators of the future. They are the masters of the destiny of tomorrow’s world. We as adults and teachers have an opportunity to mold them, to enrich them, to nourish them, in order to create a future like never before! For the future of this world to be secure, the youth must be ready, capable, and visionary and filled with self-belief. It can only happen with the guidance and experience of committed, caring and successful people. The presence of these kinds of role models fuels “Inspiration” and nudges them to touch heights of greatness and self-discovery.
KMM is a programme initiated in 2001, by At Life School Foundation founded by Narendra Goidani who believes that until “Inspiration” touches us, life is incomplete. It is dedicated to building a “Culture of Inspiration” amongst the teaching and student community.
Today’s session was conducted by two of the KMM volunteers Miss Harsha and Miss Yukti Gupta. They very nicely explained that it is not only the talent which can make our life big but it requires other aptitudes also like determination, hard work, knowledge, to excel in our life. They tried to motivate the students and navigate them towards positivity through small activities and asking the response of the students. The students also responded to the activities and their questions with lot of enthusiasm and shared their feelings. The positive mantra given today to the students was “Yes I can do it”. The idea of positivity and to shred out negativity from our lives was very nicely brought out with the help of stories of the well
known personalities with whom the children could relate themselves. It was conveyed to take failures in a positive way since they will teach them to bounce back with more force.
It was really an inspiring and relaxing session and children enjoyed it thoroughly by actively participating in the activities and sharing their minds. Hope this will be even more helpful for the students now in this time of pandemic when they are unable to meet their friends and pals as they have to be confined at their homes and are really missing their school.
