October Month Activities
CLASS I & II – CARD MAKING
A greeting card expresses all the human emotions, joy, thanks, sympathy, humor, love and admiration. It allows us to connect on an emotional level with the people who have touched
our lives. We send greeting cards during festivals, birthdays and many other occasions to the
people whom we remember.
With Diwali just round the corner a ‘Diwali Card making’ activity was conducted for the
students of Std. I and II on Saturday 24th Oct 2020
CLASS III & IV – DIYA/POT/BOTTLE DECORATION

make their wall hanging or use their own creativity to design their own wall hanging.
CLASS VI – POSTER MAKING COMPETITION
Art, freedom and creativity will change the society faster. `
Poster making facilitates understanding, creative thinking and extensive research. So as to
ignite the fire of imagination and creativity in the students and also to gauge their awareness
quotient, a poster making competition was organized for the students of Std VI.

The aim of this competition was not merely to see the creative aspect but also to trigger the
thought process of the children and sensitize them towards these prevailing serious issues.
CLASS VII – ART COMPETITION:
Continuing with the trend of conducting different competitions to showcase the talent &
creativity of the students, Vikhe Patil Memorial School, hosted an Inter house competition
for the students of Std. VII on 25 th October, 2020. The topics for the same were as follows:

Competition’ The topic given was something we have all been waiting for, a vaccination for
Covid-19. Time limit allotted to each house was 3-5 minutes. The medium of delivery was in
English and Hindi. All the four houses came up with different innovative ideas related to the
current scenario. There were dialogues, songs, dances and creative ideas of inventing a
COVID vaccine to deal with the pandemic situation.
The whole of the making of Advertisement – script-writing, acting, editing, shooting and
recording was done by the students of Std IX under the guidance of their teachers.
CLASS X – MONO ACTING MAKING
The best acting is instinctive.
It's not intellectual, it's not mechanical, it's instinctive.
Competition motivates and drives people to excel and enables them to learn and understand
their strengths and weaknesses. It also encourages people to come out of their comfort zone
and do something that is not necessarily their strong trait.
Our school recently organized a virtual Inter-house Mono acting competition on ‘Navras’ theme for Grade X on 22 nd October where the efforts and talents of all the four houses were put to test. Each house had to present two acts of two minutes each. As soon as the theme was announced, it sent students into a frenzy and they put in a lot of thought in picking the topic, deciding the storyline, drafting the script and practicing the perfect way to emote. It was
followed by the real fun of shooting the videos that was eventually modified elegantly by the
editing team. All the houses performed brilliantly and every house came up with an extremely
innovative and sensitive topic and made an honest attempt to deliver a meaningful message.
