VIRTUAL ANNUAL EXHIBITIONS

The Covid 19 Pandemic did not hamper the spirits of the Vikheites. This year the Annual School Exhibition was held virtually. The exhibition was showcased from 16th Feb to 25th Feb, 2021 at 4:00 pm every day on YouTube. This exhibition was spread over eight days dedicating one subject to each day. The exhibition was declared open by the Chief Guest, Dr. Manoj Narvade, Trustee and Secretary, Dr. Vikhe Patil Foundation with the display of the “Automatic Door Opening System”, made by Rishabh Jha of Class IX in light of the need for social distancing.
The exhibition rolled on 16th Feb with the plethora of amazing Science activities and projects put up by the students. The confidence they exuded while demonstrating spoke volumes of the hard work put in by the teachers, students and their parents. The Science section saw various working models on Tesla Bulb, Li–fi, Hydraulic Pumps, various kinds of alarms, Conservation of Water, Life Cycles of Animals and Various Circuits. Projects based on Electromagnetic effect, Heat and Electricity, Push and Pull of Muscles were also on display.
The Science Exhibition was followed by Social Science on 17th Feb wherein beautiful models of Indian monuments, solar system, volcanoes and water cycle were displayed. Next on 18th Feb was the Math Exhibition. The exhibits included various interesting ways of learning Math. It focused on the fun element of the subject. It was made engaging by presenting various fascinating puzzles and games related to the subject
The Marathi and Hindi exhibition were showcased on 19th and 23rd of Feb respectively. The exhibits highlighted the importance the language. The students recited beautiful poems they had learnt throughout the academic year.
The French exhibition was on 22nd Feb. It took us to the virtual tour of France by displaying the array of their cuisine, culture, models of the Eiffel Tower and Arc of Triumph. The essence of France was beautifully depicted.
The computer exhibition on 24th Feb showcased the importance of technology in today’s world. It also laid emphasis on artificial intelligence which will soon be the foundation of our new life style.
Last but not least was the exhibition of the English department. It showcased interesting models, scrapbooks, book reviews etc. The highlight of the exhibition was the easy way to learn the language and the usage of correct grammar. To add to the fun a few tongue twisters and some and interesting proverbs used in the language were incorporated.
The work done throughout the year in the virtual classrooms of the primary and secondary students was exhibited. The purpose of the exhibition is to ingrain in students, a scientific and creative attitude and make them comprehend the interdependence of science, technology and society with hands-on experience. The exhibition seeks to engage students and teachers to synergize experiences and motivate each other to design and develop something novel. These exhibits were attractive and colourful for they had been prepared and designed well by the students with guidance from their parents and teachers.
